The Carreon family has some one of the most photogentic people I have ever come into contact with. Each brough such a different dynamic to the set, and it was inspiring just to see them interact together. I came to know Casandrah {red dress} during CBU softball, and she has always inspired me as a person and as an athlete...I was so honored and excited when they asked if I could take their Christmas card pictures!! So fun...and they were super festive so it made me in a very Christmasey mood =) Love you guys!

Ok...it has been WAY too long. And in all honesty, I have kinda missed blogging. I have a lot to write about and catch people up on.

Well, first off, fall semester is almost over. It has been such a whirlwind...I can barely believe it. School has been going really well, and the design program has been such a blessing. Mike is such a fantastic professor, along with the infamous Trever Hoehne ;-) {check out their blogs also}

Other than school, I have a job on campus working as the Commuter Coordinator through the campus activities board at CBU. It has been a BLAST. I have the most incredible staff, and I am loving my hectic life. I get to serve commuters breakfast twice a month, I have a few design projects underway for them, and coming December we are throwing an ugly sweater Christmas bash. Totally rad.

But I promise to be better. I am going to make it a priority to blog at least every week...even if not a lot of people read it, I still like to do it as almost a way for me to remember things. I have a lot of sites that I have been bookmarking and loving that I will share too.

Another really exciting thing happened this summer. My best friend Kayla and I opened a store on a website called Etsy...and it's just fabulous. It features a bunch of vintage treasures we have found at antique fairs and thrift stores. It has allowed us to explore and indulge our creative side, while working on some business techniques. And let me say, we are pretty savvy =)

So check it out!! It's honestly pretty rad, and I'm not just saying that.

All in all...it's been such a growing summer. God has been so good and has taught me so much. I can't believe it's already over, but I am so looking forward to see what He has in store for this coming year. So many more moments to live and breaths to take. I can't wait.

Brooke and Trev just got married on July 20th. It was the most beautiful ceremony I have ever been to. The pastor did an incredible job reflecting their love for each other and the road God has guided them on to get their wedding day. I felt so honored to be a part of it, and it was one of the happiest days ever.

I met Brooke through Brianne, but we really got to know each other during football season. Brooke became such a highlight of the fall semester, and I began to see her as one of my dearest friends who I could come to about anything. I would always be so encouraged by our fellowship and her insight on life. Brookie knows who she is, and that's hard to find in people today. I am so happy for her and Trever. Yay.

I had a super crazy week. I was in Riverside for the wedding and then I got to stay with Lindsay in her, Lauren, and Erika's condo. That was so fun. I enjoy those girls' company so much. They have been really incredible friends, and it was nice to see them outside of school and having the time to just relax and veg. Carly also came and hung out one day, so that was really good to see her.

I got to visit my roommate Amy in Hawthorne where she is living and doing summer school to get ready for her Masters and Doctorate. That was also incredibly fun and refreshing. Amy has a way of knowing me and understanding me like no one else. She is such an encouragement in my walk with Lord and just in general. I am so proud of her.

My 3rd and final stop was Santa Clarita to spend a couple days with my lifelong friend, Chrissy. Our mommas were best friends when they were pregnant, so we have known each other, we say, before birth. She is living on campus at Masters College and working with 3 autistic children for the summer. She has such an amazing heart full of compassion and gentleness. I always enjoy our time together, and it was nice to meet her friends at school and the great kids she is working with.

I wanted to start a blog mainly because I wanted to be able to comment on the Hoehne's amazing photographs, but the more I started to think about it, the more I became excited about posting my own thoughts, photos, and experiences.

So here I am. I am mainly looking forward to being able to read about what my friends and what God has been doing in their lives, but it will be fun for others to get that opportunity to do that with me too.
